Kinesio Tex Gold FP is the next generation of Kinesio Tape with state-of-the-art features, including major advances in quality, comfort, grip, stimulation and adhesion. FP stands for FingerPrint Technology, a patented adhesive pattern that resembles the swirls on our fingertips. Combined with a higher quality cotton and upgraded weave process, this advanced KinesioTape offers greater comfort, longer wear and enhanced therapeutic benefits.
Kinesio Tape FP 3" Single Rolls are 3 inches wide (50% wider than standard 2" tape) and 16 feet long. They are a great solution for larger patients and/or larger body areas such as the quadriceps, hamstrings, IT band and lower back. . This extra wide KinesioTape can also be used to create heavy duty X,Y and I cuts or more complex fan or web cuts.
The unique combination of thinness, elasticity and adhesive wave pattern allows Kinesio Tape to microscopically lift the skin, creating a space between the skin and the underlying tissues. This relieves pressure and irritation on the underlying pain receptors, which can lead to a rapid relief of pain. It also reduces pressure on the lymphatic drainage system, allowing it to more effectively remove fluid causing swelling and edema. These qualities create a therapeutic tape of unsurpassed quality that can used as a sports tape or athletic tape just as effectively as a medical tape.
The elasticity of KinesioTape allows it to provide support without restricting range of motion, an important feature for injured athletes who desire to continue training as they recover from their injuries.
When used as a therapeutic tape, Kinesio Tex Tape, can rapidly relieve pain from both acute injuries and chronic conditions, as well as reduce swelling and inflammation. The Kinesio Taping method is an approach to therapeutic taping that involves taping over and around muscles and joints, rather than wrapping them tightly as conventional athletic taping does. This allows for enhanced circulation and removal of lymphatic fluid from a painful, swollen injury, accelerating the healing process.
Kinesio Tape is made of 100% high grade cotton for comfort and breathability and contains no latex or medications. The backing contains a light, medical-grade adhesive made of 100% hypoallergenic acrylic. The adhesive is heat-activated – simply apply to the skin and rub briskly to activate. It is easily removed and leaves no sticky residue. Moisture dissipates quickly through the porous material of the tape, allowing it to withstand sweating, showering and even swimming without coming off or irritating skin. Unlike traditional athletic tape, most Kinesio® Tex Tape applications can be worn for 3-5 days. This allows the therapeutic benefits to continue, 24 hours per day.
Because KinesioTape has an almost identical thickness and elasticity as human skin, it is completely comfortable to wear. It does not compress, bind or chaffe sensitive areas. The Kinesio Taping Method of kinesiology taping involves applying the tape directly over and/or around the boundaries of muscles and joints, rather than encasing them in tape, as traditional athletic taping does. This allows Kinesio Tex Tape to provide support without restricting a healthy range of motion. This feature is especially appreciated by athletes and injured individuals who need to continue their activities as they recover from an injury.
Kinesio Tex Performance+ is an exciting new twist on Kinesio's tried and true line of kinesiology tapes. Performance Plus Tape combines the best features of Kinesio Tex Classic and Kinesio Tex Gold FP to create the perfect kinesiology tape for everyday use. While Gold FP targets surface tissue and Kinesio Tex Classic targets deeper muscles, Kinesio Tex Performance+ meets in the middle to provide support and pressure relief for the fascia and muscles between these two layers. Using a unique 50/50 cotton/polyester blend, a snowflake style, and Kinesio's patented wave adhesive pattern, Performance+ tape provides the deep muscle support you need and the shallow muscle/skin decompression your muscles with thank you for!
Each roll comes pre-wound on a sturdy plastic dispensing spool that protects your tape wherever you take it and the side port lets you unwind and rewind it without ever having to take the tape out! Each 2" x 16.4' roll provides an average of 8-12 applications.

Fan taping is a simple and effective way to reduce swelling, bruising, and even the severe swelling associated with lymphedema. Applying the tails of the fan tape over the affected area lifts the skin microscopically, enhancing lymphatic drainage. This allows accumulated fluid to drain away, dramtically reducing both edema and the appearance of bruising. The use of Kinesio Taping is so effective that it has become a standard treatment in lymphedema treatment plans. While it used to be tedious work to cut strips of KinesioTape into the thin "tails" required for lymphatic drainage, the introduction of precut Kinesio Fan Strips has made lymphatic taping quick and easy.
* Package contains twelve 2" x 12" fan strips - 3 beige, 3 black, 3 blue and 3 pink.
